KCMN June 2026 | CPR Training & Certification
KCMN brought manufacturers together on the morning of June 9 for a CPR Certification Course in collaboration with Johnson County Community College and Chiefs CPR.
The training opened with a focus on personal safety in emergency situations, including the proper use of gloves. From there, attendees moved into basic first aid fundamentals: assessing the scene, applying tourniquets, documentation, and more. Hands-on training followed for choking emergencies and administering CPR.
To put the skills into practice, attendees broke into teams of three and role-played the recommended steps for encountering an unconscious person:
- Ensure scene safety
- Tap the person to check for consciousness
- Assess breathing and pulse
- Call 911
- Begin chest compressions
Rachel Keck, Network Manager, closed out the morning with announcements about upcoming KCMN events and a giveaway.
Thank you to Johnson County Community College and Chiefs CPR for equipping our network with skills that can make a real difference when it counts.
