June 2025 | Meeting & Tour at Holland Nameplate, a Holland 1916 Company

More than 30 KCMN members attended the June meeting hosted at Holland Nameplate, where they were joined by several Holland employees for an informative and engaging look at the company’s operations and workforce strategies.

Holland Nameplate, a Kansas City-based manufacturer with over 100 years of history, serves a global customer base with certified, American-made nameplates and panels. The company is ISO 9001 accredited and a UL-authorized supplier.

The Holland team shared insights into the company’s legacy, mission, recent facility and process improvements, and their strong emphasis on people. People are both their greatest strength and greatest opportunity, and Holland Nameplate invests in talent development through internships, which can lead to full-time employment, as well as partnerships with local schools and Prep-KC to offer tours that show students what a career in manufacturing looks like.

In addition to workforce development, Holland is actively monitoring and strategizing around tariffs and other trade-related challenges. The company is focused on navigating global uncertainty by exploring ways to mitigate risks and maintain a resilient supply chain, ensuring continued quality and service for their customers. Holland also prioritizes transparency, keeping customers informed about how tariffs and market changes may impact pricing and delivery, building trust through open communication.

Following the presentation, attendees toured the production floor, visiting departments including screen printing, laser cutting, painting, shipping, and inventory. The tour offered a close-up look at the company’s precision work and continuous improvement efforts.

We look forward to engaging with our members at the next KCMN meeting!
