Our Mission

The Kansas City Manufacturers Network provides educational and networking opportunities to strengthen the region’s manufacturers. Manufacturers can learn through real world experiences such as plant tours, presentations by local subject matter experts, and panel discussions sharing lessons learned from fellow manufacturing companies.

Our Organization

The Kansas City Manufacturing Network was established in 1993 and is sponsored by the Mid-America Manufacturing Technology Center (MAMTC) and Missouri Enterprise. The direction of KCMN is set by an advisory board of members in collaboration with our sponsors.

Your Investment

Your investment to the Kansas City Manufacturing Network is $300 if you are a manufacturer. Service providers and other manufacturing partners may join as a supporting member for $500. You may attend 2 events as a guest to determine if KCMN is the right fit for you.

Membership is a company membership, and is renewed annually. KCMN dues are used to operate the group, and fund meetings and special events.

Our Services

KCMN has developed resources to benefit its members by presenting:

Roundtables–These regularly scheduled meetings feature speakers who can address the manufacturing community, provide opportunities for networking and establish a forum for problem solving that is unique for local manufacturers. There is no charge to members for roundtables, and member companies have unlimited attendance privileges (space allowing).

Plant Tours–Companies that have a special grasp of a manufacturing technology or technique open their doors to our members to share their operations and experiences. Plant tour attendance is for member companies, and is limited by the host plant. Tours are scheduled when roundtable topics mesh with the capabilities of local manufacturers.

Executive Workshops–Scheduled as indicated throughout the year, these workshops examine a roundtable topic in greater depth and are geared to company management. There is usually a charge to cover materials costs and fees.

Webpage–A visit to kcmn.org answers inquiries about the Network, announces various events, provides registrations, and updates the membership on manufacturing news and information.
