About

Kansas City Manufacturing Network (KCMN) was started in 1996 by two NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) organizations who joined forces to establish a manufacturing networking association that would strengthen the industry in the Kansas City metro area.  Kansas Manufacturing Solutions (Kansas MEP - KMS) and Missouri Enterprise (Missouri MEP - ME), who are dedicated to the growth of the manufacturing industry in their respective states, have developed KCMN into a premier manufacturing networking association, providing opportunities for manufacturers to connect, learn, and grow.  KCMN continues to evolve with financial support and educational contributions from KMS and ME, enriching their members’ businesses and individual professional skills while fostering a manufacturing community of collaboration and progress.

KCMN has been the driving force for Kansas City manufacturers to grow and improve themselves and their organizations. By sharing best practices and innovative ideas, they can adapt and compete in the ever-changing global business environment.

KCMN is an organization for manufacturers led by manufacturers.  As a result, we focus on manufacturers learning and leading other manufacturers through networking and sharing expertise. Sharing knowledge between manufacturers can expand your business opportunities and strengthen your resources.

To achieve these goals, KMCN Members, Sponsors and Partners participate in

  • Events - Monthly Meetings or Plant Tours
  • Emerging Leaders Program (Manufacturing member employees, Master & Champion Sponsors and Master Partners only)
  • Subgroups/Working Groups
  • Annual Networking Event
  • Manufacturers' Summit
